Every Wedding Reception is different and our goal is to help you create the vision that you have for your wedding reception. Holt Music will work closely with you and your partner to plan every detail from the timing of announcements to precise songs you want played at special moments. At the Pre-Wedding Interview we discuss all the finer details of your reception. Below is an over view of the subjects we cover, every Reception is different and some subjects may or may not apply to your Reception.

Venue and set up of the room:
Location of venue
Lay out of the room for the evening.

Times:
What time are your guest arriving for Pre-Dinner Drinks start?
What time will you be arriving at the Reception?

MC requirements:
What is the function of a MC? Who will be your MC?
Do you have a friend or family member? If not we are happy to provide this service.

Bridal Party arrival and announcements:
How would you like to be announced into the reception? E.g. Mr & Mrs Smith.
Do you have an entry song in mind? We recommend something up beat and happy!

Cutting of the cake:
The cutting of the cake takes from 3-5 minutes. We have lots of sweet, cake type songs for you to choose from.

Meal:
Are you having a cocktail, sit down or Buffet style meal?
What times have been organized with your venue?

Speeches:
We will discuss the traditional speech order, but it is your wedding, you can do it however you like.
Who will be speaking at the reception?
How long will they speak for?
Would you like a fun intro song to be played for each speaker?

Bridal Waltz:
What would you like to have for your Bridal waltz?
You will also need 2 follow up songs.
When would you like the Bridal Party/Guests to join you on the dance floor?

Music:
What is your favourite music? What songs/bands do you hate and don't want to hear on the night?
What is the age range of your guests and what music will they enjoy?
Is there any special song that you would like played through the evening? E.g. Parents Bridal Waltz?

Games:
Would you like to play games during the reception?
We have a selection of games for you to look at from the tame to a bit naughty, the choice is yours.
Do you plan to give away the Garter and Bouquet to the winner of the games? If you don't, do you require other prizes?

Leaving:
Would you like the opportunity to thank and say good bye to your guests?
Would you like your guest to see you off when you leave?
Do you have Transport booked to pick you up from the Reception? If so, what time is it booked for?
